Chapter I European Union (EU) adopted the new strategy for Central Asian countries relations for the period of 2007-2013. It was adopted on the European Council meeting which was held on June 21-22, 2007. The new document replaced the strategy for 2002-2006 and was developed as stated in the press-release "with the regard for past positive experience". 1025
