Kazakhstan being located in the heart of Central Asia with all pertaining to it advantages accumulates strengths to enhance not only regional leadership, but now wants the world fame.

The chair of the world information agency AFP Pierre Louette this week reassured the Kazakhstani journalists that Central Asia is a concentration of issues of the world importance. For instance, energy, ethnic integration, as well as the land where interests of the world powers such as Russia, China and America are met.

Kazakhstan stand out of all Central Asia countries with its numerous initiatives, which are not unnoticeable by the world governments (actually they are partially launched for it).

Kazakhstan at the moment on upheaval and takes the active part in many important projects of the global size. For instance, the country wants to manage nuclear fuel.

And it proposed to create a bank of nuclear fuel and such organization as International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is ready to consider such offer from Kazakhstan.

Besides, Kazakhstan is expected to be No. 1 uranium producer this year as it holds around 20% of currently known global uranium resources. But, recent events such as arrest of the head of KazAtomProm on grounds of fraudulent sale of Kazakhstan's uranium resources may frustrate the plans to be the world No 1.

As the company had agreements, projects and obligations with foreign investors from Japan to Canada and Russia. Thus, the stability to invest in the rapidly growing country is again at stake.

To my mind, apart from other characteristics which are typical to a leader, there should be some consistency and stability. Otherwise, loud promises will remain only promises and dreams to be a leader will be naive projects for the future.
